Alright after the little headache i had yesterday and for no apparent reason not working 100% right I remade the dvd complete with the 4.7 patch and a no-cd crack (you NEED the patch and crack or it wont load/play right!!) Any way just download, mount/burn then follow the instructions in the readme found in the _Patches_ folder (thats where the patch and no-cd crack are) I just installed, patched, and cracked the game then got past the small tutorial bit in the beginning of the game then uninstalled and did it again to make sure and it worked fine so if you do what i say in there, it will work fine...if it doesn't for some reason after you do everything needed I'm going to go more batshit than a Malkavian high on crack and we all know how bad that is! lol Any way yeah, enjoy the newly WORKING version of this thing...... I blame the sabbot for why the other one didn't work.... if this one doesn't work for you.... blame the Camerila and join the anarchs >.> lol

I'm the only seed around because no one has completed it yet. Highest is around 36.5% as of writing this. My upload maxes around 30 kBs (i can get it around 40-50 but my net gets really screwy and unstable then =/) so just try to be patient.
I'll be seeding 24/7 until other people can seed so if you are patient it WILL finish sooner or later although as usual with larger torrents it takes a while before the first few seeders show up ^^;

laiko: No, in earlier versions of that patch you did but at one point he included the 1.2 update within the unofficial patch itself, just patch, crack, and try not to keep the beast from taking over ;p heheh

Hi. I know people like me tend to annoy everyone else,but I am really trying to learn how all of this works. I installed game.Then installed patch. Then applied crack. I followed the read me step by step. When I started the game a grey screen popped up and said loading........... and then it crashed. I uninstalled and started all over and everything went the same way. What am I doing wrong? I'm wondering if there is a trick to installing the patch and maybe I'm doing it wrong. I really really want this game. I've even tried to buy it from ebay and keep losing out. Will someone please help me out?
No real trick to installing the patch..... make sure the patch is aimed at the right folder, i think it tries to apply it to the wrong folder by default or something weird like that (which oddly isnt even the default install dir o.O)
Once you're sure the patch was applied correctly then crack it (if left uncracked you should be able to get the intro videos like the activision logo etc... it'll just hang/crash when it should goto the menu screen)
As far as running the game no tricks there at all... I have had confirmation the game will work on Vista.... if it still doesn't work I'm not sure why

I'm so sorry I'm being a pest. Honestly I don't think I've ever worked so hard to get one game and you seem to be the only real person putting out a support forum of any kind.
I did some research on the patch and came across something about a file that should be located in the install directory and discovered I didn't have that file. Is it possible I'm not even installing the game correctly? I used magiciso to open the iso file and when the little game window popped up I clicked install. Is this correct?
It seems this file is working for everyone but me, so of course I am sure that it is me who is messing this up and not the file.

If you're using uTorrent (other torrent apps have similar functions but they may be called differently) right click on the torrent and select "force start" that will keep that torrent active permanently until you tell it to stop. Otherwise it'll just go through your torrents here and there and seed them until they hit 1.5 but it seems slightly random at times which torrents it will have seeding (usually the oldest first) so the force start method is the best imo to ensure that you seed that specific torrent after its done.

I can't get it to work right either. I've patched it right, and I've installed the No-CD correctly, but it just crashes with the standard .exe error, you know "Debug/Send/Don't Send".

I have mounted the file and installed it.. then i installed the patch and put the crack in the installfolder.. when i try to start the game it stands put in cd 1 and restart. then i can se the movies in the beginning and after that it crashes.. what i am doing wrong?

uhm.. i seem to be having a little problem here... i've downloaded the game, mounted it, patched and THEN cracked... The game starts of good, showing the vids, but when i come to the menu the text is all fucked up :/ somehow i managed to start the game and i came to a guy behind a dumpster and thats where im stuck :/

i did the set up and then i did the patch and the no crack and then put the dll thing in and now it still wont let me play? what should i do now?
Well the download was fast and the instructions were easy! Thanks very much :) The problem is after installing it i can choose my clan,gende, etc, i can see the vids (who are extremely slow in some parts btw) but next the game closes and returns to my desktop. Do you know why this happens?
I installed the game, patched and cracked (this time following the instructuins correctly) and now i click to play and it says to insert disk one. What am I doing wrong? I'm sorry i am being annoying.
I made the setup, next i installed the patch and next i cracked all this in the right folder etc. The game starts, i can chose my gender, clan, history etc but next the videoclips are too slooooow and when they finish the game crashes to the desktop and say nothing, not error not anything else. As no one here said the torrent works I assume that the torrent is broken.

catacomkitten, the torrent works perfectly, I had your same problem and it's due to a game bug. First, control that your game resolution is the same of your desktop. If not, try to launch the game at 800x600x32 bit, or use the resolution patcher. If ever after doing this, the game crashes, check your video driver. VTM doesn't support some NVIDIA chipsets, even if it should. I have the latest driver and it still gives me issues. You can try to launch the game in safe mode and see if it fixes the problem, I used this metod. For some strange reasons, after playing in safe mode it worked.
This game is full of bugs, it will crash very often giving you odd error messages and driving you mad. It's really a shame, the storyline is fantastic.

Ok so anyway I do that, and nearly done the install when it tells me im missing the engine.dll file. I thought maybe its an unnecessary file, so I carry on, then i crack with the NOCD crack. So far so good. Replaced the dlls and the .exe file like you said. so I click on the new vampire.exe and it tells me im missing a dll file. Im guessing engine. Help me please chris_cooney@hotmail.co.uk. I'd REALLY prefer it if you added me rather than e-mailed me but if you cant be arsed, just e-mail me please :D with some help!
and remember, atleast im not going " WTF DUDE, UR A DICK" :)

MistressOfTheShadow thank you very much for your comment :) I just read it today. But I've done a download of another torrent and after a lot of trouble i could play the game. Downtown was too slow (i just did the main quests) but santa monica was fantastic. However in the end of the museum quest when i finish talk to bekket and the game loads it crashes and says there is some kind of an error with a npc blueblood or something like that. And i cannot go to hollywood :((( Well Ill install the other patches and see what i can do. Still thank you very much, I ll try what you've said about the video resulution.

3 connected seeders. Lol. Once its done I'll seed till 1:10 ratio. Hopefully i won't have problems installing.
Works nicely. Also, try out the Clan Quest mod in the link below. It has the unofficial patch 7.3 integrated in it (7.7 will be added when patch is updated again) as well as other mods such as the latest Camarilla mod, arsenal mod, skins for characters and music mods.

For some reason it tells me pack008 is corrupt when I try to install it. Does someone know what the problem might be?
Scratch that, I was just being stupid. But now it can't find pack003 instead and I don't think I'm being as much of a moron this time ^^''
